The International Front Runners (IFR) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place in two parts this year. This format was agreed upon at last year's AGM in Calgary, Canada. The first part is Saturday May 3rd 2008 at 9:00 AM Eastern US time, and the second part is Friday May 23rd 2008 at 9:00 AM Eastern US time in New York City.

The first part will be an electronic business meeting where the participant will dial into a conference call, and we will cover the business functions of the organization. This will cover the various officer and delgate reports, and cover the selection process for the upcoming meeting location as well as some of the election process.

The second part will be the physical meeting adjacent to the IFR Games in New York City where we will continue any discussion, and complete any business deferred from the first portion. There will also be a session open to all participants of the IFR Games and club members where we will have speakers and presentation of information of interest to runners. During this session there will be time open for questions and general feedback from club members.

Our hope is that this format enables the maximum number of delegates to participate in the IFR business meeting without the burden of travel for the first portion and also allow a physical gathering to reconnect old acquaintences and meet new people for those attending the IFR Games.

There will be meeting registration on the IFR website shortly that will cover the various options to participate. Once delegates register the conference call dial in information will be sent to them. Also reports for the electronic meeting will be sent in advance to participants.

The three regional representatives scheduled for selection this year are Western US, Canada, and the Southern Hemisphere. Each region is responsible for selecting their representative and these meetings can be used to facilitate that process. We hope to announce the results at the May 23rd session.
